Software Engineering Intern - Team Lead
As part of the development team in the IT department of SVU, I worked with others to create solutions to common campus technology problems through Agile software development. The bulk of our work was integrating new technologies such as Harvest and PaperCut to legacy services through brokers such as RabbitMQ using .NET Core. The skills to accomplish these tasks were developed by self-learning and PluralSight courses. After about 7 months, our team of two quickly grew into six taking on multiple projects at a time. I now currently serve as the Team Lead, training a team of new developers into using agile methodologies, software engineering design patterns, and writing production quality code.

In Ghana, I spent two years providing service and help to anyone who would accept it. As part of my volunteer work, I served in many leadership capacities over up to 25 other volunteers in order to encourage, improve, and train other volunteers to do their best.
Rotary International District 7570 Conference Application
Roles: Scrum Master, Architect & Developer
Java and Firebase
District 7570 runs a conference yearly, and as with all conferences, communication between conference administrators and attendees can be difficult to manage. This app's purpose is to solve that problem. As a part of this project, I coordinated and held weekly scrum meetings, developed a bulk of the source, and worked effectively with services such as Git and Slack.
Kotlin, Nodejs, Python and Java
Reading pictures of sheet music and outputting them in audio files (midi) to be listened to. This was a personal project for me that I had motivation to do, and to learn lots of different things. In essence, the idea is that you can take a picture of a piece of sheet music with your android phone, and it would play it back to you audibly. It turned out to be a much larger project than I expected, and than I had the knowledge to do. However, thanks to great open source libraries I was able to get it to work, generally.

A custom watchface for my Misfit Vapor. Displays time digitally on top of eachother in the center with a circle of ticks going around the edge of the watch to display battery level. Created because I loved the circle status indicator of the default Misfit Vapor watch face but hated the effect it had on the battery.
